FAQ

  • If your residence is different from your nationality, write your ‘filming location’ or ‘country of residence’ in the title. The application form will have both sections, so you will be required to fill in both your ‘country of residence’ and ‘nationality’ when filling out the form.

  • No, you must use the designated music track for each challenge. Except for the food challenge which does not require you to use music.

  • No. You can edit the given music track or include your own version of the track. However, you cannot participate in the challenge with a completely different song.

  • No. You can change the choreography according to the characteristics of your community and culture. However, you cannot participate in the challenge with a completely different choreography.

  • Yes. Each team must consist of at least one member, to at most five members. Solo participation is possible.

  • Yes. Anyone who is part of the foreign community and loves Korean culture are able to participate. However, if you are based in Korea and win the Grand prize, air travel will not be provided.

  • Yes. The main purpose of this challenge is to encourage cultural exchange.

    Therefore, if a Korean national were to participate, they would be have to be part of an international team and the number of Korean participants must not consist of more than 20% of the group members.

  • Yes. But awards are only available for one challenge per team.


    * If you submit an entry for more than one challenge, additional points may be given due to your degree of participation.

    * To submit an entry for more than one challenge, you must fill in a separate entry form for each.

  • Prizes will be awarded to teams that best demonstrate cultural interaction and harmony by incorporating elements from their own tradition.


    For example:

    1) Incorporating one’s traditional movements to the Taekwonmu choreography.

    2) Incorporating one’s traditional instrument to the Joseon Pop music track.

  • While we encourage you to incorporate Korean traditional costumes or props in your video, this is not a requirement. Other appropriate attires and props may be used.
